Eva Longoria or Eva Jacqueline Longoria Parker in real life was born on March 15, 1975 in Corpus Christi, Texas to proud Mexican-American Catholic parents Enrique Longoria, Jr. and Ella Eva Mireles. The youngest of four siblings, her ancestry traces to South Mexican immigrants who migrated to the United States. The family depended on farmland that has been passed down to them from their ancestors and despite owning a small farmland, they were often broke and both Enrique and Ella struggled to raise all four daughters with a decent upbringing. Eva told during an interview for the Oprah Winfrey show back in 2006 that it was only during her time in showbusiness that things began to look better for her family financially, and she even granted the crew to shoot on location at their family farm and gave the viewers a better picture of how she and her family struggled with the hardships of everyday life during those formative years growing in a poor family. She even revealed during an interview with Dateline’s Stone Phillips how she was ridiculed by her three older sisters for being the “ugly duckling” of the Longoria siblings.

Eva received her primary schooling at the Marvin P. Baker Middle School then went on to get her secondary education at the Roy Miller High School. She was a hardworking student and dreamt of giving her family a better future if she pursued and finished her studies, so she went on to college and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Science, major in Kinesiology at the Texas A&M University in Kingsville. During her college days, Eva’s exceptional beauty was being noticed all around the campus and she decided to join the 1998 Miss Corpus Christi contest where she won first prize. After graduating from college, she later realized that her looks were becoming a big asset for her and since it was a dream for this soon-to-become actress to make it big in Hollywood, she went to Los Angeles and auditioned for a talent contest where a theatrical agent spotted Eva and saw her potentials of becoming a budding actress.

She started her career as an actress by doing guestings on such popular hit TV series like Beverly Hills 90210 and General Hospital. But the biggest break Eva got in her early acting career came when she was offered to play the character role of the psychotic Isabella Brana Williams in one of America’s longest-running and hit TV soap opera The Young and The Restless. This became her launchpad to stardom as people began to notice her acting abilities as one project after the other started coming in and Eva Longoria eventually made a name for herself in Hollywood. Eva’s popularity grew to greater heights when she landed a major part on ABC’s hit TV series Desperate Housewives playing the role of the adulterous Gabrielle Solis. The show was a runaway success and it definitely took almost ten years for Eva to achieve such popularity… As the saying goes, Slowly but surely.

Eva was enjoying her success as a Hollywood and TV actress while the world dazzled at this beautiful and talented lady. But one thing that the public noticed about Eva is her charming beauty and gorgeous figure that she was always included in Hollywood’s Most Beautiful People and not to mention being on the number one slot as the Hottest Female Star of 2005 and 2006 respectively for Maxim magazine. It was during her pictorial for the men’s magazine that the public began to take notice on her gorgeous figure while donning a sexy bikini for her shoot. Her husband, Tony Parker , point guard for the San Antonio Spurs, definitely agrees about her better half’s appearance on Maxim after the two tied the knot on July of 2007.

In 2006, Eva appeared in Jessica Simpson’s music video “A Public Affair” as one of Jessica’s gal pals along with other famous celebrities like Ryan Seacrest, Christina Applegate, Andy Dick, Christina Milian and Maria Menounos, and didn’t we mention that Eva also became a dancer for the Pussycat Dolls? And it was on that same year she played her first major role in a full-length movie starring alongside Kiefer Sutherland and Michael Douglas in the suspense thriller The Sentinel. Other movie credits under her belt included her most recent movie entitled Harsh Times where she played the character of Sylvia and co-starred with Hollywood hunks Christian Bale and Freddy Rodriguez. Her superb acting abilities paid off when she recently won the People’s Choice Award for Best TV Actress along with another award from the Bambi’s in Germany for the same category.

Currently, Eva is the official endorser for L’Oreal, Bebe Sport, New York & Co. and Hanes and in 2007, the lead cast for Desperate Housewives renewed their contracts for another four years on ABC and it was mentioned that the contract is valued at $40 million each.
